Cut 1 strip 4⁷/₈ inches wide. Subcut strip into 2 squares.

Cut 1 strip 4⁷/₈ inches wide. Subcut strip into 2 squares.

[top]Half Square Triangle Instructions

Match 1 square of each fabric right sides together.
Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side of lighter fabric.
Sew ¹/₄ inch seam on both sides of diagonal line.
Cut units apart on drawn diagonal line.
Press seam to one side.
Units should measure 4¹/₂ inches including seam allowance.
Makes 2 units per fabric pair.

Make 4 units.

Using 4 half square triangles, sew block together as shown in layout using a ¹/₄ inch seam. Press seams to one side.
