• * Match 1 square each of fabric 2 & 3 right sides together.
• Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side of lighter fabric.
• Sew ¹/₄ inch seam on both side of diagonal line.
• Cut apart on drawn diagonal line.
• Press seams to one side.
• Repeat from * using 1 square each of fabric 4 & 5.
• Match 1 fabric 2 & 3 square to 1 fabric 4 & 5 square, right sides together matching fabric 2 to 5 and fabric 3 to 4.
• Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side crossing previously sewn seam.
• Sew ¹/₄ inch seam on both sides of diagonal line.
• Cut apart on drawn diagonal line.
• Press seams to one side.
• Makes 2 sets of mirrored Quarter square triangle units.

Make 2 mirrored sets.

• Match 1 square each of *fabric 2 & 3 right sides together.
• Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side of lighter fabric.
• Sew ¹/₄ inch seam on both side of diagonal line.
• Cut apart on drawn diagonal line.
• Press seams to one side.
• Match 1 small fabric 1 square to 1 *fabric 2 & 3 square right sides together.
• Draw a diagonal line from corner to corner on wrong side crossing previously sewn seam.
• Sew ¹/₄ inch seam on both sides of diagonal line.
• Cut apart on drawn diagonal line.
• Press seams to one side.
• Makes 2 sets of mirrored Quarter|Half square triangle units.
• Repeat replacing * with the following fabric pairs:
  • B - 1 & 2
  • C - 2 & 3 (from above instructions)
  • D - 1 & 3
  • E - 2 & 5
  • F - 3 & 4
  • G - 1 & 5
  • H - 4 & 5
  • I - 1 & 4

Make 2 mirrored sets for each fabric pair.

• Layout 2 is a mirror of layout 1, using mirror of units above.
• Sew blocks together using a ¹/₄ inch seam as shown in layouts.
• Press seams to one side.

Make 2 mirrored sets of blocks.
