Cut 1 strip 4¹/₂ inches wide . Subcut into 1 rectangle 4¹/₂ inches by 8¹/₂ inches.

Fabric 3

Fabric 3
Cut 1 strip 4¹/₂ inches wide . Subcut into 2 rectangles 4¹/₂ inches by 8¹/₂ inches.

Fabric 4

Fabric 4
Cut 1 strip 4¹/₂ inches wide . Subcut into 1 rectangle 4¹/₂ inches by 8¹/₂ inches.

Bright Hopes block instructions

With right sides together, using a ¹/₄ inch seam allowance sew fabric 1 square to one end of fabric 2 rectangle. Do NOT sew to the end of fabric 1 square.
Sew a fabric 3 rectangle to previous work, crossing fabric 1 and 2 seam.
Sew a fabric 4 rectangle to previous work, crossing fabric 1 and 3 seam.
Fold fabric 2 rectangle out of the way and sew a fabric 3 rectangle to previous work, crossing fabric 1 and 4.
Finish sewing fabric 2 to fabric 1 and 3.
